USE WINDOWS SEARCH BOX TO LAUNCH PROGRAMS
A client of mine logged onto somebody else's computer and
couldn't start programs because there were no shortcuts on the desktop,
taskbar or in All Programs.
In this situation use Windows Search box that appears when you
click the round Start button right above it. The cursor is already
there so just type the name of the program, such as word,
excel, powerpoint, outlook, reader, visio, notepad, calc, skype,
chrome, etc, etc and press Enter. The program will launch.
